The median listing price in Clarksville went  down from August to September. Part 2</title><content type='html'>After the episode with the dog using my front seat as a toilet, I thought the day couldn't get any worse..... WRONG!  About five houses later (after the dog peeing deal,) I showed the same clients a real big Antebellum looking house that had big columns in the front and a big balcony that covered the front of the house. As we made our way through the house, we went upstairs using the back staircase. We went into one of the bedrooms and my clients were excited to open the door that led to the balcony. So I went to the other bedrooms and opened the door and stuck out my head to say hi to them. As soon as I opened the door, I felt a stabbing pain in the top of my shoulder. I yelled really loud! My clients yelled back at me, "It's a hornet's nest! Get back in the house!" I tried to slam the door, but the hornet tried coming in with me so I fanned the door back and forth until it was on the outside of the house. My clients came running over to me to see if i was allergic to wasps or hornets.... and asked me where the hospital was in case they had to take me there. I told them that I didn't think I was allergic, but that I didn't remember getting stung by anything that hurt so bad immediately! WoW!  Looking back, I see that I was stung more than once in the same area and it is still red and swollen. But, all in all, I survived.... wet pants, injured shoulder and all.  Oh, we almost had a security alarm go off on us towards the end of the day.... That's all we would have needed was for the police to come to visit us! The good news is that my clients have an amusing story to tell their friends.... the bad news is that they still haven't found "THE" house. We'll be going out again in a couple of weeks! My clients were in my car as we pulled in the driveway of a beautiful home in an upscale neighborhood. The homeowners were not supposed to be there, but as we pulled in, the garage door opened up... coincidentally the next door neighbor was pulling in his driveway at the same time and his garage door was opening up simultaneously. Hmmm....  my clients made the comment, "Hey! It looks like his opener is opening up this garage door!"  As the neighbor was getting out of his car, I stepped out of my car and yelled over to him to alert him of this matter. ( I recognized him as someone I knew in the business industry, so I called him by name.)  He started to say something to me, but all of a sudden our conversation was interrupted by his 6 month old "pound" puppy jumping in the front seat of my car. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My clients were laughing and talking to Marley (we found out the dog's name was Marley.) Meanwhile, Marley's tail is wagging 90 miles an hour and she was so excited that she couldn't hold it any longer, if you know what I mean. The neighbor came running after his untrained pup, calling her name loudly while I was trying to pick her up to get her out of my front seat (I don't have leather seats.) By the time her owner got her out of my car, there was about a two inch puddle where I needed to be sitting the rest of the day. The neighbor finally got control of Marley and escorted her home. He grabbed a roll of paper towels and some kind of urine cleaner spray and ran back to me and my shocked clients. He started pulling off yards of paper towels and shoving them in the crease of my seat as he was apologizing to me as he sprayed and unfurled frantically!  Meanwhile, I picked up my (Coach) purse from the floor of my car and my bag of snacks I had brought since we still had 16 houses to see. They were both dripping wet from Marley's excitement.  The neighbor was appalled as I would have been if my dog had done this to his potential new neighbors.  Anyway, I didn't realize that this was not going to be the worst part of my day....... He spent several hours, days and weekends getting the lumber, screws, paint and other things he needed to complete the project. After a few weeks, we had a pergola over our patio (not a professional job by far, but a pergola it was.) It was okay for a couple of years, but really, we needed a covered patio, not a pergola.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, about a month ago, we started getting bids for our new covered patio. Our covered roof was finally completed after a few weeks. We now have a beautiful covered patio. The only problem now is that we need better looking furniture. So, we started shopping for new patio furniture. We bought the furniture and it looks good!  We really don't want our new cushions to get wet if we get a bad storm that blows sideways….. so, we needed a deck box to store our new cushions. OK, finally found a perfect deck box for the new cushions.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now that we have nice furniture and a nice new roof, we noticed how ugly the actual concrete looks. We needed to stain our concrete. Went to Lowes, shopped for different colors and bought concrete stain. Husband stained the concrete and it looked good, but needed a bit more stain in certain places, as a lot of it drained off since our patio slopes a lot. We put another coat on, but now it looks like painted concrete, not stained.  We put the furniture back on the newly stained/painted patio and it looks nice, but now we think we need another layer of some other color to give it dimension. We are still contemplating that. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We also need to decide what to do with our posts. Right now they are 4X4 treated wood. Looks like our next project will be finishing the posts.
